Cathedral United Youth Association

The St. Stanislaus Cathedral United Youth Association (UYA) is the Parish's branch of the National UYA.  The group is open to any child who will be old enough to attend the coming years National Youth Convocation.  The next Youth Convocation is scheduled for July 2008 in Rhode Island.

On a Parish level, the UYA participates in putting on a Living Nativity Program at the 4:00pm Mass on Christmas Eve and a Living Stations of the Cross which is done during Lent.  The UYA is also in charge of the area-famous Trail of Terror, which is held on the weekends leading up to Halloween.  They assist in many Parish activities, often serving as greeters, ushers, waiters and waitresses.  Also, the UYA has more "relaxing" things to do.  Movies, sports, and food are a common theme at get-togethers.  This past summer, they even held their first Overnighter at the Parish Youth Center, which was very successful.

Anyone interested in joining the Cathedral UYA is asked to contact Father Jason or any member of the UYA.  To join, a child has to be 12 years old by July 2008.  Beginning in August, a child may join at the age of 10.
